Two legends and both Grammy winners, Patti Austin and Ramsey Lewis, together again in one remarkable evening of great jazz… Friday, March 26th, 8pm at UA Centennial Hall.
Pianist and composer Ramsey Lewis is an American jazz icon. He has received seven gold records and winner of three Grammy Awards, he has ranked among the world’s great jazz pianists for more than 40 years, regularly topping the charts with classics such as “The In Crowd.” Patti Austin performs songs from her album “Avant Gershwin, which won a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album, in addition to other songs from her repertoire.
Enjoy an evening of jazz under the stars with Patti Austin and Ramsey Lewis, Saturday, February 6 at 8 p.m. The Reichhold Center for the Arts will sparkle when Patti Austin and Ramsey Lewis, both Grammy award winners, take to the stage.
Patti Austin will open the show with her distinctive vocal combination of pop, jazz and musical tributes. Next, Ramsey Lewis will perform with piano stylings of his greatest songs, from slow and calming to more upbeat. The two will end the night on stage together, Ramsey on piano backing Patti on vocals.
