Patti Austin To Perform at the Blue Note Tokyo in October

Patti Austin will be performing at the Blue Note Tokyo Jazz Club in Japan on October 13, 14 & 15. Patti will be accompanied by Mike Ricchiuti on piano, Richard Hammond on bass and Steve Haas on drums.

About Mike Ricchiuti:
Keyboardist, composer, Mike Ricchiuti is an emerging artist with a refreshing contemporary approach to his playing and writing. Mike’s playing, while grounded in the jazz piano tradition, draws upon a wide variety of influences from pop to soul and funk, giving him a unique voice as an artist. His influences include Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, Stevie Wonder, and many others.

About Richard Hammond:
Richard Hammond is known for being a journalist and most noted for co-hosting the car programme Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson and James May. Hammond is also a great bass guitarist, he accompanied the other Top Gear presenters when they performed alongside Justin Hawkins on Top Gear of the Pops for Comic Relief in 2007.

About Steve Hass:
Steve Hass is an American drummer based in Los Angeles. Hass is notable for his technical skill, time feel, and his musical versatility, having played with many artists from a wide variety of genres.

About Blue Note Tokyo:
Blue Note Tokyo, a cousin to the famous Blue Note New York Club, is described as Tokyo’s best venue for live jazz. It was established in 1988 and since then has hosted noted jazz musicians such as Sarah Vaughan, Tony Bennett, Roberta Flack, Chick Corea and more.
