patti austin shows support to kidney researchPatti Austin will be performing at the University Kidney Research Organization Event on December 12th, Wednesday, in Beverly Hills to show her support to kidney research. Patti joins the event to honor those who helped and are continuously helping the organization to create the preeminent kidney research center in the western United States.

“We are very honored that the extraordinary Grammy award-winning vocalist Patti Austin has agreed to grace our evening with her superlative talent again this year… Due to unforeseen recording deadlines for her forthcoming CD, UKRO board member and spokesperson Natalie Cole unfortunately could not perform. Patti was asked to perform at this year’s event after we received a tremendous response from our attendees at the last gala. We greatly look forward to Patti’s performance.” says Ken Kleinberg, President, University Kidney Research Organization.

About the University Kidney Research Organization

The mission of University Kidney Research Organization (UKRO) is fundraising to support medical research and education related to the causes of, improved treatments, and the prevention of kidney diseases.

On September 19, 2012 USC Keck School of Medicine and UKRO announced they had entered into an agreement to establish and jointly fund the USC/UKRO Kidney Research Center (KRC). The USC/UKRO Kidney Research Center aspires to be a premier center nationally for kidney research. Research at the KRC will be the primary beneficiary of UKRO’s fundraising for the foreseeable future. Learn more at
