Patti Austin Joins the Bill for the Season-Ending Boston Pops Matinee Concert – Lenox, MA
Grammy-award winning singer Patti Austin will perform at the season-ending Boston Pops matinee concert on September 1st at the Koussevitzky Music Shed in Lenox, MA. The program will be led by Thomas Wilkins, the BSO’s Germeshausen Youth and Family Concerts Conductor.
This special concert, Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra with Patti Austin, is part of the Tanglewood Season which is kicking off tonight, July 31st. Patti, who last performed with the Boston Pops in spring 2012, will present a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald. Other artists include Harry Connick, Jr., Donal Fox, Cheyenne Jackson, Faith Prince and many more.
Tanglewood is an estate and music venue in Lenox and Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It is the home of the annual summer Tanglewood Music Festival and the Tanglewood Jazz Festival, and has been the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s summer home since 1937.
