Patti tells her success storyTake a look closer at the story behind Patti Austin’s success by joining her as she sits down with Candy O’Terry -President of Boston Women in Media and Entertainment (BWME), in an intimate setting at The Westin Copley Place Boston Hotel on March 25th, Monday, 6:30 pm.

As a performer, songwriter and vocalist, Patti Austin has had a star-studded career that began at the age of four, making her one of the most beloved artists over the world and a mainstay on the Billboard Jazz Albums charts. Because of how important mentoring has been to Patti’s success and throughout her life, she co-founded the Over My Shoulder Foundation. Patti attributes much of her musical success to her mentors most notably the close guidance of her godparents Quincy Jones and Dinah Washington.

BWME’s connections in media and entertainment make this inspiring signature series, “The Story Behind Her Success”, possible. The host sits down for a live one-on-one interview and a meet & greet reception follows the interview.

Growing up with Patti in Bay Shore during the 60's was a lot of fun. She was the "Star" of Bay Shore High School and the Bay Way Beach Club's Dances.

Well, I bought my ticket and I purchased a round trip ticket NYC to Boston on Amtrak. Then it occurred to me that I better ask for those days off from work. It's usually yes, but this time we're way too busy so the answer was NO!! I'm so disappointed - but, Amtrak gave me my money back and my ticket to the sit down with Patti Austin and Candy O-Terry is going to go to a kid from OMSF. so, thats a good thing.

I WANT TO GO!!! But - I have to beg for 2 days off from work, pay $170 or whatever for the train and then stay in a hotel. It's worth it...how many times can you sit down and listen to one of your favorite artists talk about their life and career. Plus - she's funny and irreverent as hell. No a big ego like most. She is a talented singer, musician, arranger, background vocalist ( she does her own) and seemingly a great person.
